OUR STORY.
The CBG Foundation for Humanity and Education was established in 2014 in Chandler, Arizona, by individuals with deep roots in Thuvavi Village (Gujarat, India) and its surrounding areas. Having experienced firsthand the transformative power of education, resources, and community support, they knew they wouldn’t be where they are today without similar opportunities. The foundation was created to ensure that others in the village and beyond have the same access to the tools necessary for success.
Whether it’s sponsoring a student’s education, providing meals to those in need, or funding critical community projects, the foundation is dedicated to breaking down the barriers to stability and well-being for all.
ABOUT THUVAVI VILLAGE.
Thuvavi is a village in Dabhoi Taluka, Vadodara District, Gujarat, India – located ~25 kilometers from the city of Vadodara (Baroda). With a population of approximately 15,000 within a 10-kilometer radius, the majority of residents live below the poverty line, relying on seasonal agricultural work for survival. Farming is the primary industry, but due to limited irrigation, crops depend heavily on unpredictable seasonal rains. This instability leaves families vulnerable, with few opportunities to break the cycle of poverty facing significant challenges in accessing consistent income, resources, and support.
